Located 15 miles west of Black River Falls and 27 miles north of Onalaska and La Crosse midway between Ettrick and Melrose off Hwy. C in the town of Franklin, the Holistic Wellness Retreat Center (formerly of West Salem) offers Reiki sessions, Reiki classes, Lifecoaching sessions and Wellness workshops and retreats in a peaceful, tranquil setting. Appointments are available Monday through Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other appointments by special arrangement.

The center is operated by certified Karuna Reiki Master, Medical Reiki Master and Life and Wellness Coach Sherry Hardie. “While I have extensively studied psychology the last 10 years and have tremendous life experience in healing my own complex post-traumatic stress — a result of experiencing childhood trauma and abuse — I am not a licensed psychotherapist,” Sherry says. “I am passionate about helping people make their lives better and leading them to access their own abilities to heal themselves and thrive.”

Services offered:

— One hour Reiki appointment, includes Chakra cleansing: $75

— Reiki I and II Classes (Beginner) 2 days: $400

— Reiki III Master Class 2.5 days: $600 (must have completed and been certified in Reiki I and II)

— Karuna Reiki Master Class 2.5 days: $650 (must be a certified Reiki Master)

— One hour Life/Wellness coaching appointment: $100

Reiki classes are up to one-half the price offered by the International Center for Reiki for the same class.

Reiki energy healing is a natural ancient therapy that everyone can benefit from. For optimum health, it is necessary to have a healthy balance of body, mind and spirit. Reiki treatments quicken the healing process for minor injuries and other physical pain. Reiki can reduce stress and promote psychological and emotional healing of anxiety, trauma and complex post traumatic stress. Reiki is offered in more than 800 U.S. hospitals for pain management and stress associated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and other medical procedures. After being treated with reiki, clients are often calmer, restored and balanced.

Reiki works with natural lifeforce energy to open and regulate the seven main chakras (energy centers) within your own body and the aura surrounding your body. Just as your veins and arteries comprise the circulatory system for blood, chakras are the circulatory system for energy. Reiki is spiritual, but is not affiliated with any one religion.

During a reiki treatment, the client remains fully clothed while the practitioner, acts as a conduit for the reiki energy and uses appropriate touch for healing purposes throughout the body. Massage is not involved. Clients are guided through a short meditation to relax them while listening to soothing music throughout the treatment. This is a safe, secure, nurturing professional environment. Anything you tell your practitioner is confidential. The client’s only responsibility is to be receptive to receiving healing in order for reiki energy to be most effective.

Reiki sends positive healing energy without having to be in each other’s session. For this session, you will be contacted by phone at the beginning of the session and at the end. Please book directly with Sherry.

All appointments and cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance and one-month notice for classes.
