Bramblebery Bed and Breakfast has re-opened in rural Taylor, WI in the northern part of the Driftless region. Centrally located between Melrose, Ettrick, North Bend, Blair and Taylor. We’re 15 miles west of Black River Falls via Highway C and 28 miles north of La Crosse and Onalaska.
(If traveling I-90, you’ll definitely want to take exit 12 to visit Brambleberry Winery at 234 N. Leonard St. in West Salem, Thursday through Sunday!)
The Holistic Wellness Retreat Center also is part of the estate at Brambleberry Bed and Breakfast, nestled on 75 beautiful, tranquil acres. Our boutique inn resembles an English/Scottish manor house and was designed and built as a lodging facility. We offer four clean, comfortable, unique guest rooms – all with a private attached bath and TV with local channels.
Rooms 1-3 have central air and king beds. Room 4 has a window a/c unit and a queen bed.
Receive a FREE bottle of Brambleberry wine with a two-night stay in any guest room. (May not be combined with any other specials.) Choose from cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, chianti, chardonnay, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, semi-sweet riesling, moscato or white cranberry. This wine may be consumed anywhere on the property.
Due to our busy work schedule outside the inn, we now offer a self-serve continental breakfast and guests will sometimes be doing a self check-in via key code while we’re at our other jobs. We return to the inn each night.
Our new rates of $100 to $150 are $50 lower than when we previously offered a full breakfast at our award-winning full-service inn, which closed in 2023 after 17 years of operating.
A continental breakfast muffin or roll, yogurt and coffee, tea, hot chocolate and hot cider are offered. You may bring your own food and snacks. Guests have shared use of a refrigerator, microwave, pizza/toaster oven and toaster.
A formal dining room is available along with the guest lounge/library, which closes at 10 p.m. so guests in Room 1 have privacy.
Check-in is after 3 p.m.
Check-out by 10 a.m.
A cot is available for use in rooms 2, 3 and 4 upstairs to accommodate a third guest for $25.
Due to our busy work schedule and some ongoing medical issues, we don’t book rooms more than four months in advance.

(Room 1) Queen Elizabeth: $150 per night
Named for Elizabeth I, Elizabeth II and our dear friend Elizabeth who gifted us the beautiful bed in this room, which is fit for a queen. Gorgeous English country reproduction king half-tester bed, electric fireplace and in-room double whirlpool tub/shower with privated attached rest room. This room is on the ground floor, directly off the guest lounge which closes at 10 p.m. so as to not disturb guests.
(Room 2) Highland: $150 per night
Featuring artwork of Scottish Highland cattle, a California king sleigh bed, electric fireplace in-room double whirlpool tub/shower and private attached rest room. On the second floor.
(Room 3) Majestic Stag: $130 per night
Features artwork of deer, a king bed, electric fireplace and a bathroom with a single whirlpool tub/shower. On the second floor.
(Room 4) Victorian: $100 per night
Featuring garden art decor, this room has a four-poster queen bed, The private attached bathroom with a low, sloping ceiling has a clawfoot tub (no shower). Window A/C unit.

Policies

- No refunds on cancellations of 8 days or less before stay.
- 50% refunds if cancelled up to 9 days before stay.
- No pets or children under 12. (This is a romantic destination.)
- Only registered guests may enter the property or grounds. Please don’t bring or invite friends into our home to visit you.
- Smoking in designated outdoor areas only.
- Quiet time after 10 p.m., which includes no whirlpool use. Please be considerate of other guests.
- Any alcohol you bring must be consumed inside your guest room only – unless it is a bottle of Brambleberry wine. The property is part of a licensed and bonded winery production facility (the sales room is in West Salem) and it is illegal in Wisconsin to bring your own alcohol on to any licensed alcohol establishment. Guest rooms are excluded from that licensed area. Violators may be subject to a $500 fine.
